Party Kingdoms

We presented our game this week to the public and we received a lot of feedback. I was somewhat satisfied that we were able to present our game that people were able to play but there were some aspects of the game that needed a little more time and the game needed some overall polishing as well. Unfortunately because of the problems we were facing with integrating the project with the multiplayer component as well as facing multiple obstacles and problems when testing them, the lack of an adherence to the project plan, reduced the quality of the game and removed the opportunity to just polish what was complete. But overall it felt like a success when people did enjoy the game and played the multiplayer and the 2D game and provided with some helpful feedback

I was disappointed with my progress for this project and expected more in 13 weeks. I should have held a more proactive role as a team leader and tackled problems the moment I had them, and communicated this with the team instead of just trying to solve it on my own. But some accomplishments were through this project; multiplayer networking, API integration, publishing on the app store, among others. I feel as if most of the elements are already there, with a few days of polishing it could really be a great game. And it would be much easier to extend and better the project; through more minigames, more utilisation of the features the API provides better user friendliness

For the next project I have learned on what I should do as a leader and what I should not, I have also learned that communication and proper planning is key when working so that everyone has an idea of what others are working on; how they are making it and how it will interact with other parts.

I hope that having something available on the app store will benefit ourselves as developers and strengthen our portfolios; adding to that we have gained some proper experience with multiplayer networking, how it works, the different types, and so on. Adding to that we have learned how to integrate an API into a project and use it to improve our project.
